The missing piece of men’s health and wellness is not a new workout program or prescription…

It is a strong sense of purpose, a set of tools for managing stress, and an awareness of your body that you’ve been conditioned to ignore.

If you’re like me, you’ve done plenty of workouts, tried many diets, and read motivational books. These were all helpful at earlier points in your journey, but something is telling you it’s time for a new approach.

It’s time to consider how your relationships, environment, personal history, and beliefs affect your daily habits.

Your mindset and identity as a man impact the ways you engage with your body. If you don’t upgrade your definition of what it means to be a healthy and mature man, you’ll be stuck repeating the same destructive and unhealthy patterns over and over again.

Why My Approach to Men’s Health & Wellness is Different

I take into account the unique challenges men face in being healthy.

Accountability, adventure, confrontation, and competition are part of the male psyche.

Muscles, power, and strength are part of the male body.

None of these are right or wrong. They just are.

If you want to take control of your health and happiness, you need to consider how these ideals and norms show up in your life.

I’m going to ask you to examine your beliefs, emotions, and expressions of power.

In particular, I’m going to ask you to let go of social norms that tell men asking for help is a sign of weakness.

“If I just push a little harder, I can figure it out on my own,” is one of the biggest pitfalls preventing men from reaching their full potential.

Don’t beat yourself up just because you can’t figure it out on your own. Don’t base your self-worth on how you look, perform, or symbols of status.

Most importantly, don’t bottle it all up, refuse to acknowledge the pain, and continue to fight with yourself internally.

I want you to turn your desire to be powerful and healthy into action.

This requires accountability, structure, and guidance to outgrow what is no longer working.

Social support is the number one factor impacting your long-term health and happiness.

If I didn’t have lots of external support during my battle with disordered eating, I wouldn’t be here sharing my story and supporting other men to reclaim their power.

I needed people who recognized my potential and would hold me accountable along the way.

I needed people who were willing to help me see how sorry and small my life had become and help me get through the muck.

I had to overcome many old patterns and resistance that built up over the years. It was hard work.

Honestly, it wouldn’t have been possible without other men who had more perspective and experience to show me the path.

I believe you have the wisdom you need inside of you. Sometimes you just need help discovering it and putting it into action. That’s what my coaching is all about.
