Toxic Masculinity – Behind the Mask

A talk with Shari Lewison-Frisch about combining body, mind & spirituality in my health and fitness coaching business.

We also discuss toxic masculinity and what positive masculinity looks like, as well as the inequalities between the sexes.

“Men derive their self-esteem based upon their performance—how are they performing in the world in terms of outward visible symbols of success of status of making money, all of those things.
I think what’s missing is that a lot of men have a very stunted internal sense of self-worth.
Everything is about how well did I do today, and what I did yesterday doesn’t count, it doesn’t matter.
To help men come back and develop more of that internal, intrinsic sense of self-worth that says your value in society and in the world is not dependent upon what you go out and achieve materialistically, but is actually rooted in something so much greater, that deeper sense of self-worth is so important.”
