It is an every single day, a turning towards as opposed to turning away.
It is asking, what’s working? And if it’s working, then how can I strengthen it, and if it’s not working, then what can I do to remedy this?
Thinking about commitment as an ongoing process is really helpful.
Otherwise, you can make a commitment one day, and then the next day there’s no follow through, and everything starts falling apart. The commitment very easily deteriorates if you don’t have that constant input of energy.”
