Diving deep into the art of breaking bad habits and building a holistic approach to men’s health in a chat with Preetpal Singh.
We talk about what goes into creating a balanced lifestyle that goes beyond quick fixes, fad diets, and rigid gym routines. This episode also uncovers the five key food mindsets—Convenience, Pleasure, Social, Goal-Based, and Environmental—and how to adapt them for a healthier, more sustainable relationship with food.
“You can have the best exercise program in the world, but if you don’t have the right mindset, it’s not going to stick. Weeks or months down the line, something’s going to happen, some changes, life’s going to throw some stress at you, and it’s going to knock you off your plan, and you don’t have the mental resilience or emotional awareness to really deal with that sort of challenge when it happens. You’re not adaptable enough.

So what I really work on is both having the external structure—we want to make sure that you have a good exercise program you enjoy and can follow, and we want to make sure you have the basic dietary education that you need so you can make sensible choices about what you’re eating.
But we also need to do the inner work to make sure you’ve got the right mindset to support all of that.”
