Gary Gillan interviews Jeff Siegel about his journey to empowering men to take better care of themselves through mindfulness, movement, and healthy lifestyles using social support.
Jeff takes a whole-person approach to wellness believing that physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health cannot be separated. His journey into health and healing started much earlier when he suffered from an eating disorder as a teenager, and through this difficult journey, he was driven to learn all he could about creating a healthy mind-body relationship. Jeff earned a Masters in Buddhism from the University of Hong Kong and Masters in Mind & Brain Education from Harvard University and has now been working in the wellness space for years.
“We need to develop a more compassionate relationship with our bodies, and I think that’s often something that tends to be hard for guys because mainstream fitness is very much in that ‘grind, push, mind over body’ mindset.

A lot of times, we don’t slow down enough to listen, or that stuff is relegated to more of the feminine realm.
But it’s not one or the other, it’s both, and it’s about finding that harmony that works for you.”
